Affections to the environment
Among the company policies to improve the affections to the environment, an improvement project has been carried out that ended in August 2022. Over the course of more than 18 months, the construction of a complete Suction System, together with a Bag Filter system, has been undertaken, which has made it possible to completely eliminate the emission of a large amount of “diffuse solid particles” into the nearby atmosphere, particles that commonly, after a short time floating, fell to the ground. Thus when suspended in the air they could have represented a slight dirty problem in the nearby factory environment that has been solved that way. It is estimated that this has prevented the emission to atmostphere of around tens of tons of diffuse particles per year.
This action has been financially supported by the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Government, and also with funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
